Community Commitment
As a Touchstone
Energy® Cooperative, Nolin RECC adheres to core values that
our members have come to rely on since we were first incorporated
in 1938. These values include accountability, integrity, innovation,
and a longstanding commitment to community. Our mission goes
beyond providing safe, reliable electricity - we also provide
personal interest and concern.
One of the seven
guiding principles for the cooperative way of doing business
is a concern for the community we serve. For more than 60
years, rural electric co-ops like Nolin have been living that
principle and making a positive difference in our community.
Our local commitment
includes programs that benefit our members and non-members.
In addition, Nolin employees share the co-ops concern for
community. They are often involved in their community through
fundraisers, walking in Relay for Life, participating in Big
Brothers and Big Sisters, bowling for Junior Achievement,
hanging Christmas lights, coaching little league, and the
list goes on and on. Our employees are local and they include
your friends and neighbors. We all live and work in the same
community, so we should all join together to help strengthen
the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
