Congratulations to five local high school students selected to represent Nolin RECC on the 2007 Washington Youth Tour. The students were selected from a pool of 17 applicants representing local high schools.
All competing students traveled to Frankfort in April, 2007, as part of their participation in the annual Nolin RECC Washington Youth Tour contest activities.
While in Frankfort, the group toured the Capitol building, Governor’s Mansion, and the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Lunch was provided at the Kentucky History Center and students heard from various speakers.
Based on a personal interview, essay, and test, five students were awarded an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., June 8-15. Those students are (front left to right) Alex Meredith (Central Hardin High), Bethany Riggs (Central Hardin High), Tyler Jury (E-town High). Rear left to right are Stacy Brammer (Central Hardin High), and Letrisha Nowlin (John Hardin High).
